Do you remember the days when you could have a lie in, go out when you wanted, eat when and where you wanted and even go to the loo in peace? Yep, those days really did exist but the question is would you really ever want to go back to them?

I thought I had a full life until five and a half years ago when I had my son. Being a first time mum was scary, especially as I had never spent anytime with children. It was like applying for a job that you have absolutely no idea how to do and actually getting it , you muddle through blindly and surprisingly it all works out fine!!

The pressure to be the perfect mum is massive but is there really any such thing as the perfect mum or is it all about individual experiences? I believe that everybody's experience of parenthood is different, we are all, afterall, unique so therefore our experiences and perceptions must be unique.

This is my blog about my experiences of motherhood, the good and the bad, the funny and the sad and the mad moments that every mother has!

The Dark Days

I myself was a sufferer of postnatal depression, not with my first child but with my second. It was something that I can onlyexplain as being life changing. At the time it was horrendous but now I look back at it with a positive perspective.
If you are a sufferer or know a sufferer the please read my blog, http://babybluesormore.blogspot.com to see what my experience was like.
